Karen Frankenberg Obituary
Karen Elaine Frankenberg, age 72, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Mrs. Frankenberg was born on December 31, 1953, in Elkins, West Virginia, to the late Donald and Jewell Arbogast Davis. An avid hiker, Karen found joy and peace in the beauty of nature, often spending her free time exploring trails and taking in God’s creation. Above all, she loved God and cherished her family. She worked in the deli department at Ingles. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husbands, Tom O’Brien and Merritt “Bud” Frankenberg; grandson, Dakota Cochran; sister, Virginia Gummel.
Survivors include her daughters, Rene Cochran and Lisa Scoman (Russ); grandchildren, Jeremy Gaipo, Michael Cochran, Nelson Peloquin III, Ansley Merritt, Karah Peloquin; companion of 8 years, William Lee Palmer; siblings, Donald Davis, Jr., Michael Davis, Bud Davis, Jim Davis, and Steve Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 27, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
