Joan Hamby Obituary
Joan was born on December 3, 1943, in Virgina Beach, Virginia, to the late Walter and Cora Lee Turner Norrell. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husbands Kenneth Sullens and J.D. Hamby; siblings, Jane Gravitt, JoAnn Norrell, and Bonnie Smith.
Survivors include daughter Ann Taylor (Allen); son Wayne Sullens (Becky), Shane Sullens; grandchildren Heather Smith, Kenny Sullens, Robin Medina, Bradley Sullens, Nicholas Sullens; and ten great grandchildren.
A special thank you to "Heart of Hospice" for their unwavering care and compassion.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 16, 2026, at Gateway Memory Park. The Rev. Eddie Tanner will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. Monday until the service hour at the funeral home.
