Dorothy Mae Frankenberg

Dorothy Mae Frankenberg, age 80, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Before retirement, Dorothy worked as a licensed hairstylist and was a proud member of the Elks Lodge. She was preceded in death by her father, Raby D. Elliott; mother, Ettalean Robinson Elliott; son, William E. Johnson, Jr.; brother, Carl Elliott; and sister, Shirley Chappell. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, John Frankenberg; daughter and son-in-law, Connie L. and Gregg McNamara; former stepdaughter, Kimberly Johnson; former grandchildren, Jody Fisher and Caina Fisher; sister, Margaret Edington; and a very special nephew, Charlie Dunstan, who was like a son; as well as many other beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to friend and caregiver, Melissa Wheeler, for her kindness and support. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Rose Funeral & Cremation - Broadway from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM with Rev.
