I only recently saw the loss of your mom. Aunt Betty was such an inspiration to me my entire life. I visited with her after my own mom passed because she was the next best thing in my life. I told her the last time I saw her that if I had a choice I would choose her as my mom. She liked that . Will miss you Aunt Betty rest in peace. Janie and Doug McBride

I´ll never forget the love and kindness Mrs Wells conducted herself with during my time in Girl Scouts.

Betty was an inspiration to me, as she was to countless others. I had the joy of teaching her Bible study group in Palm Beach, Florida, when she spent the winters here. Her comments were always encouraging and insightful and right on target. Her presence brought joy to all within our Women of the Word Bible study group, including me... I look forward to seeing her in eternity, and my prayers are with every member of her family!

I just recently found out about your family's loss. When driving past your Mom's home during the Christmas season I realized it was dark. That's when I looked online and found the sad news. Both of your parents were dear friends of MY parents. I remember many Rotary functions and trips with them. Sorry for ts late posting, but I wanted to give you my condolences.

We all have special memories of Betty to keep close to our hearts, especially her faith and love for family. Personally, Vic and I loved her common sense, her sense of humor and her laughter.

On our lat visit to her Oradell home, we shared her five o'clock cocktail. She knew Vic preferred Scotch and she told us she learned to like Scotch because Ray received so many bottles as gifts, but no one else liked it, and she couldn't see it going waste.

We caught up on family news and we marveled at her recall of each member, where they were and what they were doing. She mentioned how we both grew up as an only child, we learned to amuse ourselves, and we had no fear of being alone. We laughed at how the younger generations had a hard time understanding us.

We will miss her sense of humor, her distinct laugh, and most of all her advice and prayers for us, as we now pray for her. We know God is smiling as he welcomes Betty and her sense of humor, creating a new bright star to smile down on us.

Remembering our friend Betty with love and laughter, Wilma & Vic Egg
