Our precious, beloved mother, Betty A Williams, entered the arms of Jesus on October 7, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond W. McDonald and Iris Edna Morris, and brother, Garland R. McDonald.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph L. Williams; four children; multiple grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a beloved companion, her dog, Kramer.
As a young girl, Betty accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour and was baptized. Her faith was strong, unshakable, and her relationship with Jesus was something she talked openly about. Shortly after Joe and Betty married, Betty spent years traveling around the globe with her four children and animals, supporting Joe's job. They lived for years overseas in countries like Iran, Lebanon, and Venezuela before settling in Cleveland, Texas. Betty loved the outdoors and tending to her plants and flowers, and had a gift with roses. Betty's gentle strength and leadership never wavered; even into her golden years, she was the backbone of the family. She was also a phenomenal cook, and took so much pride in the meals she prepared. Thanksgiving and Christmas will never be the same without Mom's cooking. Betty took pride in being a Mother and often said, "There wasn't a more important role than being a Mother." She adored her children and even more her grandchildren. Betty was a wonderful Mother who gave her all to her family. Today, our hearts are broken as we honor and adore you, Mom. Until we meet again in Heaven...
