Pamela Ruth Wilganowski, affectionately known as Pam, entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2026, in Coldspring, Texas. Born on December 16, 1967, in Houston, Texas, Pam's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, family, and cherished memories.
From a young age, Pam’s spirited nature shone through. In her early life, she was a simple girl who often found clever ways to make her siblings do her chores, a testament to her playful and endearing personality. While attending school, Pam embraced her passion for music, excelling as the first chair cellist — a role that brought her joy and showcased her dedication and talent.
At just 17 years old, Pam met Donny, the love of her life. Their story blossomed quickly, culminating in their union on February 7, 1986, shortly after Pam’s 18th birthday. Together, they spent an extraordinary 40 years building a love story that would inspire generations.
Pam’s true pride and joy were her family. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she lived wholeheartedly for her children and grandchildren. She is lovingly survived by her husband Donny Wilganowski; her children, Christina Wilganowski, Robert Wilganowski and his wife Meagan, Jennifer Brooks and her husband Jeremey, and Laura Wilganowski and her husband Jeremey; her grandchildren Lilly, Ean, Aiden, Kenzie, Chevy, Emma, Jason, Hailey, Casey, Kayla, Bella, Allie, and Colby; her bonus grandchildren Jonah, Jayden, and Jordan; and her great-grandbaby Tessa. Pam also leaves behind her siblings Bernard Taylor and wife Rene, Cynthia Colvert and husband Jay, Cherie Wren, Waymon Taylor Jr. and his wife Gennie, and Tracy Honeycutt and her husband Lee, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who were touched by her warmth.
Pam’s love of life was expressed through her many hobbies and interests. She treasured her annual cruises, often describing these voyages as her special “me time.” Her sense of style was uniquely her own — elegant yet simple. Whether dressed in comfy capris or shorts paired with an elegant blouse for social gatherings or a comfortable tee for relaxing days, she carried herself with effortless grace. Pam also loved fishing and camping adventures with her family, where laughter and togetherness created lasting memories.
Though Pam is deeply mourned, her legacy endures through the lives she enriched with her kindness, humor, and unwavering love. Pam is welcomed into the gates of heaven by her father Waymon Taylor Sr., mother Lillie Gardiner Taylor, sister Tina Parker, and her in-laws Sonny and Victoria Wilganowski.
Family and friends are invited to honor Pam’s remarkable life with a visitation at Neal Funeral Home, located at 200 S Washington Ave, Cleveland, TX 77327, on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the same location. Interment will immediately follow at Hendrick Cemetery in Rusk, Texas.
Pamela Ruth Wilganowski leaves behind a radiant light that will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and boundless love will be treasured forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
