Ronald Craig James, born on April 8, 1966, in Houston, Texas, joined his heavenly Father on March 4, 2026, in Kingwood, Texas. Ronald was a cherished individual whose life left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege to know him.
A man of varied interests, Ronald found immense joy in riding his motorcycle and horse, both testaments to his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. His passion for life and the simple pleasures it brought was evident to all who interacted with him.
Ronald is survived by his loving family, including his brothers, Barry Hightower and his wife Shantell, Michael Bradford and his wife Valerie, and Curtis Hightower. He also leaves behind his sisters, Andrea Carter and her husband Willie, Mary Jackson, and Melanie Brown and her husband Patrick. Along with these immediate family members, he is remembered fondly by many other loving relatives and treasured friends who will miss his warmth and kindness deeply.
Ronald was called home after his parents, Ruby and George James and Barbara and John Charles, and his sisters, Clara Hightower Baines and Valerie Gilford. Ronald's legacy is one that resonates through the lives of his family and friends, reminding them of a life lived with purpose and affection.
A visitation in honor of Ronald's life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at New Bethel Baptist Church 1002 Church Ave Cleveland, Texas 77327, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location commencing at 1:00 PM. An interment will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Texas. These services will provide an opportunity for all who knew Ronald to come together in remembrance and celebration of his life.
