Betty Nation Worley, 81, of Sugar Valley, departed this life on Thursday, August 15th, at her residence following a period of declining health.
Betty was born in Rome, Georgia, on October 17, 1942, the daughter of the late Forrest Duvall and Grace Goss Duvall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland “Pug” Worley, and by Larry Nation, son Todd Nation; two grandchildren, Zach Nation and Michael Nation; two sisters, Estelle Bryant and Evelyn Anderson; and a brother, Forrest Duvall Jr.
Survivors include her family, whom she loved dearly: two daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda Charles and Lisa Brown and her husband Charlie; two sons, Bart Nation, and Kirk Nation; four grandchildren, Adam Nation, Jacob Brown, Nicholas Charles, and Cheyenne Lopez; two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Millie Mae; and one great-great-grandchild, Tenzie.
A service to remember and celebrate Betty’s life will be held Sunday, August 18th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev(s) Tim Reid and Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Hughdon Wilson, Terry Hopper, Don Lowe, Tim Black, Bobby Shirley, and Scott Nation.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17th, between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
