James Bruce Walraven, 72, 0f Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born in Dalton, Georgia, on February 20, 1954, son of the late Frank and Margaret Walraven. Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Charyl Walraven; great-niece, Addison Davis; and best friend, Rusty Parr.
He enjoyed GA Bulldog Football, being outside, word search puzzles, and being around his great-nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his sister, Susan Walker; godson, Seth (Heather) Parr; best friend, Dianne Parr; nieces and nephews, Amanda Walker, Jennifer and Robert Davis, Ryder Williams, Kendal Williams, Camden Davis, Zayden Walker, Raven Walker, Azora Amos, and Aziriah Young.
A private family graveside service will be held, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sugar Valley Baptist Church Youth Group, P.O. Box 40 Sugar Valley, Georgia 30746.
The family is very thankful for your prayers, thoughts, and every act of kindness shown to them.
