Beulah J St. Junior

Beulah Jones St. Junior was born on June 4, 1928, to the union of the late Octavia and Madeline Jones in Vacherie, Louisiana. Beulah dedicated her life to Christ at an early age at Our Lady of Peace in Vacherie and remained an active member until her move to New Orleans, LA. Educated in the St. James Parish Public School System, Beulah relocated to New Orleans, where she married her beloved husband, Roy St. Junior, Jr. of 56 years. To that union, six children were born, JoAnn, Debra, Baron, Lorraine, Tyrone and Lonnie. For many years, Beulah worked at Houston, Roy & Faust, as a Physical Therapist Aid. After 20 plus years, Beulah retired from dedicated service. Upon relocating to New Orleans, Beulah became a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. In 1972, she became a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church where she actively attended until its closure. While there, she was a part of Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. Most recently, she became a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Beulah also enjoyed visiting New Hope Baptist Church with her daughter, where she is recognized as an "honorary member". Calming, Compassionate, Caring and Classy are but a few words to describe her sweet spirit. A classy lady, Beulah, was a sharp dresser who would not leave home without her cherished expensive black purse. A woman of God, full of grace with a heart of pure gold, Beulah extended kindness to everyone she encountered. Her mere presence shined brightly, lighting up any room she entered. Beulah exhibited warm hospitality toward all and had a heart of gold. Not one to cook often, she always invited you to get something to eat, whatever there was in the refrigerator. Quick-witted, she was known to sneak in a funny line during family gatherings that would have the house cracking up. It was in those moments one could feel the love, laughter and life she lived. On July 25, 2025, the Lord called Beulah home. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters JoAnn St. Junior Hutton and Debra St. Junior Vaughn; three sons, Baron, Tyrone, and Lonnie St. Junior; 10 grandchildren; many great and great- great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Roy; daughter, Lorraine St. Junior Frye; grandson, Edward Hutton, Jr. and son-in-law, Edward Hutton, Sr. Beulah will forever be remembered for her faithfulness and dedication to God and her unconditional love for her family. Her Presence and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Ave. New Orleans, LA on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10:00 am.
