Bevelyin’s family will remember her life in a private gathering at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with a graveside service at 2:00 pm for friends and family at the Temple Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters.
Bevelyin Marie (Cranford) Meyer was born to John Lee and Bertha Irene (Bramlet) Cranford on July 9, 1946 in Ardmore, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on October 31, 2025 at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 22 days.
Coming from Ardmore, OK, at an early age, Bevelyin grew up at Walters, OK, graduating from WHS in 1965. She met and eventually married Charles Joseph Meyer on August 1, 1970 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church. They lived in Walters for a year then moved to Temple, eventually building a house in 1975. The family moved to the Temple Lake house in 1985 as Charles managed the water treatment plant. They returned to their home in town upon his retirement in 2022. Through the years Bevelyin worked at Haggar’s, owned an upholstery shop called Temple Upholstery, and finished her career with Temple Utilities as a billing clerk.
Bevelyin was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and working in her flowerbeds. She loved spending time visiting her family and just driving around with Charles. When recently asked what her favorite time period in life has been, she responded, “This part, because I get to spend so much time with him (Charles).”
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Cranford; 5 brothers, J.R., Mason, Erby, Charles and Everett Cranford; and 3 sisters, Dorothy Billen, Cora Mae Billen and Evelyn Schell.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Meyer of the home; 2 daughters, Lorre Morris and Foster of Temple, OK, and Lisa Ogletree and Greg of Cove, TX; a son, Jason Meyer and Susannah of Wichita Falls, TX; 7 grandchildren, Gage Ogletree and Summer of Great Falls, MT, Kinly David and Brayden of Plaquemine, LA, Bryson Ogletree of Austin, TX, Sky Ogletree of Cove, TX, Brittany Bevers and Jack of Lubbock, TX, Ashlynn Morris of Temple and Lanie Morris of Temple; 4 great grandchildren, Lexi, Kyler, Aiden and Millie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
