Susan Elaine Collier

A Funeral Service will be held at Bible Baptist Church, Walters, OK on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. John Carlisle officiating with interment at the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK. Viewing will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

Susan Elaine Collier was born to Billy Don and Gwendolyn Ann (Jackson) Collier on June 26, 1956 in Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Burkburnett, Texas at the age of 69 years, 4 months, and 6 days. She grew up in Plainview, Texas graduating from Plainview High School in the class of 1974. After graduating she moved to Lubbock and began her career as a graphic designer, working for The Avalanche Journal and then later at Art Craft. After retiring Susan moved to Walters to be near her family.

Susan was a member at Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the casino and eating out. She loved bowling, playing darts, and playing board games with her family. She loved her dogs; they were her life.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents Billy and Gwendolyn Collier and a brother-in-law Ronnie Calkins.

Survivors include a sister Jackie Calkins of Walters, and a brother Gary Collier and wife Kim of Walters; a special lifelong friend Norma Gonzales of Lubbock; nieces and nephews, Michael Lewis and Cassie, LaWana Lewis, Jennifer Collier and Mark, Shawn Collier, Justin Calkins and Faye, and Katelyn Collier; several great nieces and nephews, other family, and friends.
