Edna Rae Partin Collier August 18, 1939 - March 12, 2026
It is with hearts full of love and grief too deep for words that we announce the passing of Edna Rae Partin Collier, who left this world on March 12, 2026, at the age of 86. She was a woman whose presence made every room feel warmer and whose laugh could light up any space she walked into.
Edna was, at her core, a homemaker in the truest and most beautiful sense of the word. She didn't just keep a house - she built a home. A place where love was the foundation, the door was always open, and everyone who entered felt they belonged. She had a rare and generous gift for caregiving, and she offered it freely - not just to her family, but to anyone who needed a steady hand, a warm meal, or a compassionate heart. If you were hurting, Edna showed up. That was simply who she was.
She gave herself fully to the roles she held most dear: devoted wife, nurturing mother, and the kind of grandmother and great-grandmother whose arms were always ready and whose heart never ran out of room.
She is reunited in eternity with the love of her life, her husband Josiah Collier; her daughter-in-law Purificacion Collier; her parents, Benjamin and Janie Partin; and the ten siblings who went before her.
Left to carry on her legacy are her sons, Josiah (Sherri) and Larry; her daughters, Brenda (Kelvin) and Shirley; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers. Fifty-plus people who exist because she loved so well.
Pallbearers: Jason Degraw, Ryan Johnson, Noah Parrino, Brance Day, Amory Degraw, and Luke Bergeron. Honorary Pallbearers: Pat Morrison and Landon Cockerham.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Baker Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
Edna Rae, you were irreplaceable. The echo of your laugh will never leave us.
