Charlotte B. Marshall, age 81, of Baker, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026.
Charlotte was born to Jesse Brashear and Eunice McCulloch Brashear . She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert B. Marshall; her daughter, Cheryl Ann Pickering; her sisters, Bessie Ann Krumholt, Betty Lee, and Myrtis Keith; and her parents, Jesse Brashear and Eunice McCulloch Brashear .
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Malcolm Schlatre Jr.- ( Fiancé Becky Picard) and Tim Schlatre- ( Wife Kristie Schlatre); her grandchildren, Reagan Pickering, Bryce Schlatre, and Ava Schlatre; and her great-grandson, Luke Pickering.
She is also survived by her loving siblings: Margaret Nolan, Madeline Bueche, Jesse Drago, Faye Gaudin, and Bobby Brashear.
Charlotte loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and brother and was well known for cooking Sunday meals for her family, bringing everyone together around the table. These moments created lasting memories that her family will always treasure. She was also a faithful member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Public visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 10:30 a.m., with a Memorial Mass immediately following at 10:30 a.m. A reception gathering will be held immediately following the Memorial Mass.
Charlotte will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
