Myra Price Anding

It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to a devoted wife, a beloved sister and sister-in-law, an amazing aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Myra Price Anding, 73, a resident of Norwood, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026. Myra was born on May 7,1952 in Baton Rouge and graduated from Baker High School in 1970. She worked for Walmart in Zachary for 29 years. Myra was passionate about gardening and her embroidery. She loved embroidering on pillows, blankets, bags or anything she could for many of her loved ones. She was a very devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews and will be remembered for her warmth, dedication and the love she shared with all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband and childhood sweetheart of 55 years, Michael W. Anding, sister Linda P. Carmena and husband Gary, sister-in-law Sigrid Price, sister-in-law Lynn A. Loudon and husband Mike, brother-in-law George "Tommy" Anding , Jr. and wife Toya; 12 nieces and nephews Andra Price(Tony Perez), Barry J. Price, Denton(Robin) Price, Daniel "Dan"(Dianne) Carmena, Sr., Karen (Steve) Langlois, Kim (Mike) Daugherty, Connie Price, Courtney (Kevin) Jones, Carolyn "Cal" (Ian) Armstrong, Rachel Anding, Kevin (Savanna) Loudon, and Anna (Russ) Drinkard; her great nieces and nephews JoLee Price, Lauren (Marek) Schnabel, Ricky Counter, Cameron (Annie) Price, Kylah Price, Christopher Price, Elizabeth (Brian) Buquoi, Daniel "DJ" Carmena, Jr., Michael Carmena(Samantha), Kayla (Josh) Zumo, Matthew (Lauren) Langlois, Kyle Langlois (Giuliana), Amanda (Luke) Mathson, Josh (Jasmine) Daugherty, Blaine Price, Brianna Price, Jonathan Countess, Jeremy Countess, Ashley Campbell, Chloe (Rob)Olson, Will Blalock, Maddie Jones, Jaime Armstong(Craig Ellison), Lauren Armstrong, Tom Armstrong, Megan Armstrong, Joshua Marraccini, Brittany Tober, Rebekah Tober, Evan, Max, Jude and Aria Drinkard; and her great-great nieces and nephews Odin and Lennon Price, Freya Schnabel, Astrid Price, Braxton Price, Louie and Ollie Buquoi, Alysson and Bennett Carmena, Anthony, Charlie and John Paul Zumo, Stephen Langlois, Zoey and Avery Mathson, Briella and Brissa Jamerson, Zach and Louie Ellison, Weldon Berry, and Link Anding.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alton and Ruby Price, Sr., sister Carol Gwen Price, brother Alton" AJ" Price, Jr., brother Harold "Doug" Price and wife Faye, brother Edward "Teddy" Windsor, nephew Christoper R. Price, nephew Lonnie G. Price, niece-in-law Deborah Price, parents-in-law George Thomas and Anna Mae Anding, Sr., brother-in-law David Anding and niece-in-law Robyn Tober.

Pallbearers will be Gary Carmena, Dan Carmena, Jonathan Countess, Mike Daugherty, Josh Daugherty, Kyle Langlois, Matthew Langlois, Steve Langlois, Blaine Price and Ian Armstrong.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, March 12,2026 at Blackwater Methodist Church, 10000 Blackwater Road, Baker, LA from 1:30pm until funeral services at 2:30pm, conducted by Rev. Amy Castro. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or Blackwater Methodist Church www.Blackwaterumc.org/give in her memory.
