David Anding

Funeral services for Mr. David Lyn Anding will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Marlow Baptist Church, Pitkin, with Reverends Hardy Estes, Matt Marler, and Joey Rudisill officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Branch Cemetery, Pitkin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Anding, 57, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

David was a person who would help anyone in need. He was known as a "WORKER" and could outwork men half his age. He loved hunting and fishing and was an exceptional bull rider. He enjoyed sports, passing his love of the game on to his sons, and enjoyed cheering for his daughter. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially Charlotte, who shared the same interests and joys in life. Although his time with them was short, his grandchildren were a great source of happiness in his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Gay Anding; and his dad, Tommy Pollard.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his mother, JoAnn Deason Anding Pollard of Pitkin; the love of his life, Charlotte Conner of Pitkin; three sons, Zachary Anding of Kentucky, Trenton Anding of Moss Bluff, and Kyler Anding (Anslie) of Moss Bluff; one daughter, Emalee Anding of Moss Bluff; one brother, Randy Pollard (Heather) of Rosepine; two sisters, Belinda Pollard of Merryville, and Rhonda Tacker (Jonathan) of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Teddy Anding; and one granddaughter, Katie Anding.

A time of visitation will be held at Marlow Baptist Church, Pitkin, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jeffery West, Matt Dillion, Mark Weldon, Paul Lemieux, Leslie Doyle, and Kipper Glaze. Honorary pallbearers will be Chance Bordine, Eddie Wayne Thompson, Shad Stewart, Phil Jackson, and Tracy Cooley.
