Beverly Joan Adams Gipe, 85, of Spring Arbor and formerly of Reading, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at Arbor Manor in Spring Arbor. She was born August 23, 1938 in Branch County to Clark Sellers and Helen (Keith) Newsome. She married Bernard "Bernie" Gipe on June 25, 1988, and he survives.
Beverly attended Reading Schools and cleaned houses for several families in the area. She enjoyed going camping and crocheting. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband, Bernie are three children, Ramon (Tina) Adams of Pioneer, Deborah (Steve) Flagg of Jackson and Christine Gipe of Lansing; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn "Sis" Haines of Camden, Norene (John) Trott of Reading and Dallas (Rita) Sellers of Hillsdale; son-in-law, Mike Groves of Texas; and sister-in-law, Marcia Sellers of Battle Creek.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Adams; daughter, Helen Kay Groves; siblings, Dr. Gene "Doc" Sellers and Jane Beeker; and brother-in-law, Ron Beeker.
Funeral services for Beverly Joan Gipe will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Pastor Steve Flagg officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer, OH. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
