Beverly R. Anderson, 91, of South Abington Twp., passed peacefully on Sept. 28, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Anderson.
Born in Dallas, Pa., on Feb. 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Kyle E. Cundiff (Terre Haute, Ind.) and Margaret N. Barnes (Evansville, Ind.). Beverly attended Dallas High School where she played basketball and was a member of the 1948 Back Mountain League championship team. Beverly also sang in the choir and worked on the school newspaper. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter, an activity that she enjoyed at the Abington Community Library. A bibliophile and avid gardener, she took pride in her well-manicured yard and abundant flower beds. Her family dinners delighted everyone and continue to provide treasured memories. Beverly also enjoyed travel and made many trips with her sisters Marion, Thelma and Judy in the U.S. and Europe. She recalled with particular fondness her honeymoon to Sweden, Denmark and Norway with her husband, John, the love of her life. She raised her family in Edison, N.J., where she lived for more than 30 years.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Randall Pflueger and wife, Christine, Columbus, Ind.; Ronald Pflueger and wife, Terri, Monroe, N.J.; and daughter, Robin Domenico and husband, Roy, Clarks Green, Pa. Her grandchildren are Katie Domenico, San Diego, Calif.: John Domenico (fiancée, Molly Gregory), Brooklyn, N.Y.; Matthew Domenico, Clarks Green, Pa.; Clare Domenico (fiancée, Megan Baillargeon), Greensboro, N.C.; Margaret Pflueger, Columbus, Ind.; Caroline Pflueger, Indianapolis, Ind.; Robert Pflueger, Indianapolis, Ind.; RJ Pflueger, Monroe, N.J.; and Kiersten Pflueger, New Brunswick, N.J. Alexa Graham especially helped to brighten her final years.
Beverly is also survived by her sister, Joan Carney and husband, Russell, Tunkhannock, Pa.; brother, Ronald Cundiff and wife, Judy, Cape Charles, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
Her sisters, Thelma Stolarick and Marion Salerno; brothers, Edward, George and Kyle Cundiff; and former husband, Franklyn Pflueger, preceded her in death.
Beverly's family wish to express their thanks to the exceptional staff of the Allied Home Health Professionals and Allied Services Hospice.
Services will be held Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 205 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit. Visitation with family at 9 a.m. in the Parish Center, church service at 10 a.m. Private interment following service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Women's Resource Center (wrcnepa.org).
