Beverly Jean "Bev" Becker

Beverly "Bev" Jean Becker, 85, Rockford, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1938, in Beloit, WI the daughter of David and Bernice (Martin) Polglaze. Bev was a graduate of Rockford West High School. She married James "Jim" Becker in Rockford on October 30, 1960. She worked as a clerk for Eagle Foods for over 40 years. Bev was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aries #392 where she was a past president and served in many areas of the club. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and was an avid Bears and White Sox fan.
Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jim; her son Dan (Josie) Becker of New Mexico; her grandchildren, Leah Becker and Dana (Stevie) Becker; her brother, Larry (Kathy) Polglaze; her nephews, Jason and John Polglaze and David Franklin. Predeceased by her parents and her sister, Darlene Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av. Rockford with Reverend Dean Parker officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
