Beverly Ann Beckmeyer, age 85 of Springfield, MO went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Beverly was born to the late Raymond B. Hoffman and Pauline D. Hoffman on Friday, February 16, 1940, in Springfield, MO. She was the middle child between two brothers. Beverly is a longtime member of the Campbell United Methodist Church, beginning when the church was located at the corner of Division and Campbell Ave.
She attended Central High School in Springfield, and Southwest Missouri State University where she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Social Sorority. Beverley was blessed with beautiful red hair and won Springfield's Fire Prevention Week contest and was crowned, Miss Flame.
Beverly spent most of her life married to the late Dr. Carl Beckmeyer of Camdenton, MO, at Lake of the Ozarks. She was a talented artist and taught toll painting when it was in vogue in her home to eight or ten ladies at a time.
Beverly was a very kind and gentle person. She enjoyed meeting new people and had several lifelong friends. Her late brother, Mike Hoffman said "She made the best fried chicken on earth." It was his annual birthday present.
Last, but not least, she enjoyed being with her family and telling stories about things she did as a young girl.
Beverly is survived by her brother, Charles "Bob" Hoffman of Bentonville, AR; stepson, Boyd Beckmeyer of Linn Creek, MO; stepdaughter, Jan Prado; five grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carl Beckmeyer and one brother, Mike Hoffman.
Memorial donations in memory of Beverly may be made to the Campbell United Methodist Church campbellunitedmethodist.org; 1747 E. Republic Rd. Springfield, MO 65804.
