Beverly Rose Berend Aylor, age 76, of Windthorst, Texas passed away Friday evening, February 27, 2026, at Sheridan Medical Lodge in Burkburnett.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Windthorst under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Beverly was born January 9, 1950 to the late Herbert Joseph Berend and Della Rose Zihlman Berend in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She married Troy Lee Aylor and together they had two children, Dedra and Dewayne. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2004.
Beverly worked at the Calico Café for her Mom in Windthorst and also the Dairy Queen in Archer City. She then worked at 7-11 Store and finally at the Hostess Bread Store for several years. Beverly enjoyed watching old movies and doing word searches.
Survivors include her daughter, Dedra Southard and husband, Preston of Windthorst; son, Dewayne Aylor and wife, Andria of Henrietta; four brothers, Rick Berend and wife, Carolyn of Windthorst, Mike Berend and wife, Terri of Graham, Donnie Berend of Iowa Park, and Lonny Berend and wife, Leann of Windthorst; sister, Darla Schroeder and husband, Cletus of Windthorst; sister-in-law, Debbie Berend of Lake Kickapoo; eight grandchildren, Justin, Braden, Macie, Joshua, Jordan, Tyler, Kristina and Seth; fourteen great-grandchildren, Kinzy, Karly, Brantleigh, Logan, Noah, Ryder, Kade, Addy, Ian, Wyatt, Waylon, Walker, Lyric and Lilly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her step-dad, James Allen; brother, Delbert Berend, and sisters-in-law, Suzanne Berend and Cindy Berend.
The family suggests memorials to the Windthorst Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 162, Windthorst, Texas 76389.
