Beverly "Bev" Hart, 85, of Ottawa, formerly of Geneva, Batavia, and Rock Falls, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, from 9:00am until 11:00am at Ottawa Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by the Catholic Daughters at 9:00am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30am at St. Columba Church. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery.

Bev was born October 22, 1940 in Geneva, IL to Willard and Anne (Alft) Fessler. Bev was united in marriage to Richard Frederick Hart on May 26, 1962. Together they spent the next 58 years until his passing in 2020.

Bev was a member of St. Columba Church, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and TOPS in Ottawa. She was also an active member of her church and the Red Hats in Rock Falls. Her greatest love was being a mother and nana. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, listening to Elvis, traveling, going to wine tastings, bowling, and her Friday breakfasts. She will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Barb) Hart of McNabb, IL, Timothy (Jennifer) Hart of Plano, IL, and Teresa (Thad) Wendt of Ottawa, IL; her grandchildren, Richard (Stephanie) Hart, Ashley (Joe) Hart, Maureen (Tyler) Winders, Ryan (Brittany) Wendt, Abbey Hart, Brady Wendt, and Luke Hart; her great grandchildren, Kyrene Hart, Kevin Hart, Finley Winders, and Kinsley Winders; her childhood besties, Lee, Linda, and Sheila; as well as numerous amazing friends in Ottawa and Rock Falls that became more like family than friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Anne; and her beloved husband, Richard "Dick" Hart.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Wendt, Brady Wendt, Richard Hart, Luke Hart, Tyler Winders, and Nevin Butcher.
