Brian Christopher Wolf, 42, of Ottawa, formerly of Denver, CO, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025.
Brian was born October 14, 1983 in Hazel Crest, IL to Henry "Hank" Wolf and Kathrin Thompson. He was a tremendous athlete and played hockey in high school. He attended Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago where he earned his culinary degree. He had a passion for food and was an extremely talented chef. When he lived in Denver, he owned and operated a commercial coffee machine repair business for 8 years. Most recently, when he moved to Ottawa, he worked for Iniga Pizza and later B.A.S.H. Aside from cooking, his other passion in life was his dog, Tilly. He and Tilly loved to go hiking in the mountains, fishing, and camping; the two were inseparable.
He is survived by his parents, Hank (Caroline) Wolf and Kathrin Thompson; his sister, Lisa Souza; his nephew, Apollo Souza; his paternal grandmother, Bernadean Wolf; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry Wolf; and his maternal grandparents, Barbara Thompson and James Thompson.
Memorial contributions in Brian's honor may be directed to the Illinois Valley Animal Rescue in La Salle, Il.
