Beverly “Bev” Lunsford, 85, entered into rest on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Bev was born on March 21, 1940, in Fort Valley, Georgia, to the late William Morris Thames and Eva Pearl Thames. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Bev cherished every moment spent with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
She found solace in the great outdoors, whether casting a line while fishing, admiring the beauty of birds—especially hummingbirds—or nurturing her plants. A lover of old westerns and classic country music, she could often be found enjoying Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Bev also had a playful spirit and never turned down a game of Monopoly. In addition, she was a faithful member of Byron Baptist Church.
Her warmth, kindness, and passion for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Lunsford, son, Craig Richard Clance, and siblings, Jewel Roquemore, Billy Thames, Eva Nadine Foster, Faye Thames Sullivan, Jimmy Thames, Douglas Thames, and Peggy Beaver.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Gene Clance, Jr. (Patricia); grandchildren, Christina Wade, Adam Clance, Kristen Lengel (John), J. R. Ganas (Lauren), Lexee Adams (Greg), David Clance, Ben Clance, and Dannah Howard; great-grandchildren, Rowdy Wade, Chandler Wade, Alivia Wade, Keith Halcombe, Kyle Halcombe, Lilly Lengel, Jessie Wade, Harlow Huff, Michael Clance, Chandler Clance, Maddox Clance, Jas Clance, Bryson Howard, Nevah Howard, Nova Howard, Haven Clance, Hanah Clance and David Henry Clance; and siblings, Ted Thames (Frances) and Brenda Shugart (Jack).
