Born on June 7, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Ruth Newman.
Following high school, Linda began a dedicated career as an underwriter with GEICO, until her retirement.
Above all, Linda was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, and dear aunt. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she always placed her children at the center of her world. She was a guiding light, strong, nurturing, and endlessly supportive. Linda offered comfort, wisdom, and encouragement to all who knew her. Her generosity of spirit and willingness to be there for family and friends, no questions asked, will be remembered always.
Linda was deeply loved by many, and memories will be treasured forever by those who had the blessing of knowing her.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Christy Riley (Fiancé, Tommy Surratt), Nicole Osborne; grandchildren, Austin Aday, Elaina Jackson, Jayme Jackson, Isabella Surratt, Emma Surratt, Ryan Surratt; great-granddaughter, Lai Lani King; and siblings, George McDaniel, Christine Ramage, and Bobby Taylor.
A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
