Beverly "Bo" Ann Davis, age 79, of Belton, passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1944, in Belton, Texas, and was the daughter of Gene Humphrey and Ernestine Humphrey. Beverly will be remembered for her caring nature, her strong faith, and her dedication to her family.
Bo dedicated most of her life to working as a housekeeper and taking care of her loved ones. Her nurturing spirit shone through in every aspect of her life. She was not only a hardworking individual but also a devoted listener. Many fondly remember their encounters with Bo and how she would lend an open ear without judgment. In those moments, she made people feel heard and valued.
Faith played a significant role in Bo's life, evident by her long-standing membership at Shiny Top Cowboy Church in Salado. She found comfort in prayer and cherished the time spent worshipping alongside members of her church community.
Aside from her devoted work as a housekeeper and her commitment to her faith, Beverly had a zest for life that was infectious. She enjoyed baking delicious treats for family and friends, showcasing her culinary talents. Western dancing brought joy to Bo's heart as she gracefully moved across the dance floor. Additionally, she delighted in participating in chuck wagon cookouts, relishing in the flavors of traditional cowboy cuisine.
Bo's proudest accomplishments revolved around her family. She treasured every moment spent with them and poured love into every interaction. Family gatherings were filled with laughter and stories that will forever be etched in the memories of those lucky enough to have known Bo.
Bo was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Starkey, and her second husband, Charlie Davis. She also reunites with her parents, Gene Humphrey and Ernestine Humphrey, her brother Larry Humphrey, brother-in-law Ronnie Barrington, her sister-in-law, Jan Humphrey, and many family members that have passed before her.
In mourning her loss are Bo's surviving family and friends, including her sons: Charles E. Starkey of Houston, Harley N. Starkey of Twin Falls, ID, and Melvin A. Davis of Tallahassee, FL. Her daughter, Ronda L. Woodall of Scottsville, KY, her brother, Johnny M. Humphrey of Houston and Joyce L. "Donnie" Barrington of Belton, her loving sister.
