Beverly Patricia Calkins

Beverly Patricia Calkins passed away peacefully on February 3, 2017 at the Tillamook Regional Medical Center surrounded by many loving family members. Born in Elko, Nevada on December 27, 1921 to Edd and Del Sommers, Beverly attended school in Elko and went on to complete secretarial school in Reno. She met the love of her life, Cyril John Calkins, and wed him on May 1st, 1942. Soon after Cy was drafted and served as an Army Ranger during WWII during which time Beverly raised their first child. Together Bev and Cy raised four kids and enjoyed 63 years of marriage until Cy's passing in 2005. Bev will be greatly missed by her children Nancy (Jim) Hardesty, Robert (Kathy) Calkins, Mary Calkins and Connie Dumond. Along with grandchildren Bob (Christine) Calkins and Amy Calkins, Kristen Hardesty, Bryan (Traci) Dumond and 9 great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
