Beverly, known as Nana by her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, 71 of
Cantonment, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease.
Beverly was born in Mullens, West Virginia on March 9, 1953, and lived in Beckley, West Virginia prior to moving to
Pensacola, Florida in 1976. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School, Pensacola Junior College (Pensacola State College), and the University of West Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies with a Minor in Public Administration. Beverly devoted many years to her career as a paralegal and loan closer before following her true professional passion, real estate.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Archie and Vannie (Hatcher) Collins.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Gary J. Cavnar; daughter, Lynette Bledsoe (Wayne McCutchen); sister, Sandra Kay "Kooky" McLaughlin (Donald "Don"); step-sons, David Cavnar and Derek Cavnar (Anna); grandchildren, Colton Plumley (Kaitlin "Katie"), Austin Nicholas (Adam MacDonald-Corrao), and Autumn Webb; step-grandchildren, Reanna Logan (Clint), Jack Cavnar, Amelia Cavnar, and Alyssa Cavnar; great-grandchildren, Elliott Plumley and Elias Plumley; step-great-grandchildren, Lilly Grace Logan and Eli Logan; nieces, Jann Garrett (Shane) and Lea Farrington (Casey); great-nieces, Payton Garrett and Torrie Garrett; and great-nephews, Collins Farrington and Laughlin Farrington; and many many close friends and family members.
Beverly will be forever remembered as a feisty woman with a soft heart, zeal for living, and her love for family. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
Services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Faith Chapel North,
Cantonment, FL. Burial will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, 7433 Pine Forest Road,
Pensacola, FL. The family will receive visitors one hour before the Service.
