Beverly Blake Chandler, 78, passed away January 2, 2026, at home with her family at her bedside. Beverly was born February 16, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa, to Frank C. Blake & Nelda L. Ruyle, where Frank was in chiropractic school. They moved to Denton in 1955. Beverly graduated from Denton High School in 1965 & North Texas State University in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Beverly had known Paul, her husband of 56 years, since jr. high school. They were married January 29, 1969, in the Cole Chapel of First Baptist Church in Denton.
Beverly & Paul were blessed with the birth of their beautiful daughter, Jennifer, on August 27, 1978. Mother & daughter were best friends forever and spent countless hours enjoying reruns of “I Love Lucy” & other sitcoms on TV.
Beverly taught sixth grade at Argyle Elementary until 1992.
Beverly was our rock, our best friend & our dearly loved wife & mother. She will be sorely missed but will live on in our hearts forever.
Beverly has joined her parents & her sister, Carolyn Hamilton, in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Paul; her daughter, Jennifer & husband, Rafael Rivera; her brother, Brian Blake & wife, Annette; nephew, Charlie; brother-in-law, Pete Hamilton; niece, Jana Aryal; nephews, Blake & Darren Hamilton; cousin, Pam Harrington; extended family & many, many cherished friends.
Beverly was a Christian & a proud patriotic American. She loved her many lifelong friends & classmates.
She enjoyed her active role in the family’s antique business & she was proud of her impressive collection of perfume bottles.
Beverly’s request for a private family graveside service will be honored.
