Beverly Jean Clous, 88 of Traverse City, entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday February 6, 2026 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. She was born November 9, 1937 in Detroit, the daughter of Melvin and Edna (Jacks) Kroetsch. On September 27, 1958 Beverly married August John Clous who preceded her in death on March 4, 2000.
Beverly loved Jesus. She walked closely with the Lord and had a life dedicated to service and faith. She was a speaker, prayed and volunteered for many churches and ministries including Women's Aglow Fellowship and Joppa House Ministries. Beverly obtained religious credentials and formed Love Fellowship Ministry. With this ministry she posted prophetic messages on her website, hosted bible studies and prayer groups. She had fond memories of a mission trip to Guatemala.
She had a deep love for her family and spending time with them brought great joy! Earlier years she enjoyed spending time at their home on Duck Lake, later camping on their UP property in Trout Lake, after her husband passed, continued family time by renting cabins over Labor Day weekend so everyone could be together. She made wonderful bakery items, gave the best hugs and always looked beautiful.
Beverly graduated from Traverse City Senior High School, was a secretary for Max's Service and also typed plumbing heating and air conditioning specifications for their home-based business. She baked bread/buns out of her home for the local Pantry Shelf grocery store plus made jewelry and macrame items. Beverly was a 4H volunteer (sewing and baking) plus had Certifications from Christ's Life Ministries to do Christian Counseling.
Beverly is survived by her children: James Clous, Alan (Pam) Clous and Jean (Jeff) Johnson; grandchildren: Michelle (David) Robinson, Joshua Konecki (Joanna Saturn), Bethany (Ryan) Steffes, Curtis Clous (Madison Osborn), Justin Konecki (Michaela Cook), Eric (Jessica) Clous; great grandchildren: Ayden, Vera, Christian, Rowan and Adriana Robinson, RaeLynn Steffes; sisters: Joan (Edward) Buday, Karen (Charles) Tetzlaff and Kathryn (Dennis) Morio.
She is preceded in death by her sons Paul (Jolene) Clous, Thomas Clous and sister Marilyn (Arthur) Ross.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, with funeral service at 12:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, 511 S. Garfield Avenue,
Traverse City, Michigan 49686. A luncheon will immediately follow at the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Cemetery, in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made to Joppa House Ministries or Munson Hospice.
