Beverly June Coin

Beverly June Coin, age 87, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on June 7, 1937, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Morten and Martha (Morgan) Brown.
Following graduation from Pontiac Central High School, Beverly married Robert Coin, on December 17, 1955, while he was on leave from the military. Their 30-year marriage was filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising three children: Timothy, Susan, and David. Robert's passing in 1987 left a lasting void, but Beverly continued to honor his memory through her dedication to their family.
Beverly's love for her family was boundless. She opened her heart and home to anyone in need, embodying generosity and compassion in all she did. Her friends and loved ones knew they could rely on her for support-whether it was a ride at night, a helping hand with household tasks, or a place to call home during difficult times. Her spirit of service extended to her community, where she was an active volunteer with the American Legion, Meals on Wheels, and the Clarkston Senior Center.
In her downtime, Beverly enjoyed simple pleasures. She was an avid puzzler, always engrossed in a jigsaw challenge, and loved playing cards and games with her friends and family. She also found joy in cross-stitch and solving Sudoku puzzles while watching her favorite TV program, Wheel of Fortune.
Beverly's loved ones remember her as a caring, resilient, and hardworking woman whose strength left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her unwavering dedication to family, friends, and community will be her enduring legacy.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Coin, Susan (Todd) Smith, and David (Wendy) Coin; grandchildren, Robert, Isabella, Ava, Austin, Jordyn, and Zackary; and many beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Coin, and her parents, Morten and Martha Brown.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Coats Funeral Home, 3141 Sashabaw Rd., Waterford, MI 48329, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Stephanie Newman. Beverly will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beverly's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
