Beverly Coragiulo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kesling Funeral Home - Mobridge on Jan. 12, 2026.
Beverly Ann Coragiulo, 96, of Mobridge, SD, passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2026, at the Walworth County Care Center in Selby, SD. There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 15th, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 16th, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mobridge, SD. A burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD.

Beverly Ann Coragiulo was born on December 30th, 1929, in Mobridge, SD, to Theodore and Ella Grenz. She was the oldest of four children; her sisters were Betty, Marilyn, and Sharon. Beverly attended grade school and high school in Mobridge and graduated in 1947. She met her husband, Arthur, in 1946, and after dating for two years, they were united in marriage on February 7th, 1948. Three years later, their son, Joseph Arthur, was born on April 7th, 1951, and five years later, their daughter, Patricia Ann, was born on August 4th, 1956. Tragically, Beverly and Arthur lost their son in February of 1977; he was 26 years old. Their daughter, Patricia, married Steven Lyle Fuhrman in 1979, and he became the best son-in-law to Beverly; she loved him as her own. Pat and Steve gave Beverly her most prized possessions; her three grandchildren – Scott, Beth, and Brittany. They, in turn, with their spouses Chaz, Josh, and Drew, gave her seven precious great grandchildren: Allie, Kai, Austin, Cora, Dutch, Kirbi, and Clyde.

Beverly worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company from 1947 to 1982 when she retired. She loved shopping, cleaning, walking, yard work, and church. Beverly sang beautifully in the church choir at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for 50 years. She was also a member of the Altar Society and the Legion Auxiliary, taught religious education classes for many years, and spent countless mornings having coffee with "the girls" at Filler's Bakery. Without a doubt though, her favorite way to spend her free time was with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beverly traveled many miles attending as many of her grandkids and great grandkids' activities as she could; it meant so much to her to be there for her family and help in any way that she could. She also loved visiting with them on the phone or on her Alexa device in her later years to fill her life with joy. It was Beverly's mission to make sure her family was taken care of; she always made sure everyone was ok and that no one ever left the table hungry. In fact, her softball-sized meatballs on Christmas Eve were a family favorite and a memory we will all never forget.

Beverly's life leaves a legacy on Earth: she will forever be remembered for her resilience, and her love for her family, her friends, and the church. She taught us all to love one another, to give hugs when you can, to do onto others as you would want others to do onto you, to be happy, and to pray.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Patricia, and her husband, Steve; her grandchildren, Scott Fuhrman and his wife, Chaz, Beth Villbrandt and her husband, Josh, and Brittany Reuman and her husband, Drew; her seven great grandchildren, Allie, Kai, Austin, Cora, Dutch, Kirbi and Clyde; and her sister, Sharon Chmielarz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1997, her son, Joseph, in 1977, her parents, and her two sisters, Marilyn Rieger and Betty Eisenbeisz.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Senior Citizens Region IV Nutrition Center.
