Beverly Ann Cruit 82, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Lan-Fair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 27, 1942 in Logan, Ohio to the late Curtis and Kathryn Smathers.
She attended Pleasant Chapel Church and Allen Chapel. Beverly enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling when she could.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Dean) Parsons of Champions Gate , Florida; sons, Bernie (Paula) Cruit and Christofer (Angie) Cruit all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Andrew (Emilia) Parsons, Ashton (Max) Miranda, Brayden Cruit, Blayc Cruit, Brent Cruit, Cody Balthaser, Lindsey Williams, Kevin Cruit and Mathew (Destiny) Cruit; great grandchildren, Beverly and Isabelle Parsons, Luke and Benjamin Miranda, Jillian and Leeland Balthaser, Jameson Christofer and Brant Lee Cruit and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Pat” E. Cruit, parents, sister, Arlene Lauderback, brother, Robert Smathers, two great grandchildren, Madoxx and Lenoxx and a niece, Tammy Lauderback.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 12 noon in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Evan Saunders and Andrew Parsons officiating. A live broadcast of the funeral service will be hosted on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. on the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page.
Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens at a later date. Friends may visit Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
