Roeder Mortuaries - Gretna ChapelGretna - Beverly Jean Deming, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. Born on April 2, 1948, in Canova, South Dakota, Beverly lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
Beverly attended nursing school at St. Johns School of Nursing in Huron, South Dakota. Most of her nursing career was spent in the neonate intensive care unit, and she concluded her career at Nebraska Medical Center as a transport nurse for neonates. She touched so many lives and loved the babies she cared for deeply.
On June 5, 1972, Beverly wed Jerry Deming in Howard, South Dakota. Shortly after, they moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where they built their life together.
Beverly was grounded in her faith, served her church, and sponsored and supported her grandchildren in their Catholic faith.
In her free time, Beverly loved to spend time with her family, including her grandchildren, and enjoyed baking.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Jerry Deming, five siblings, six children, and sixteen grandchildren. Sisters Shirley Lager, Linda Wagner, Jan Morgan, Trish Tammen, and brother Jim Keleher. Daughter Angela Baldwin and family Cory, Sam, Haley, and Avery Baldwin. Daughter Gena Fuller and family Trent Fuller, John McCann, Elijah, and Gracie Fuller. Son Kyle Deming and family Sarah, Brody, and Mason Deming. Son Kent Deming and family Terri, Owen, and Kyla Deming. Son Kory Deming and family Christen, Haleigh, Lakyn, Vivyan, and Ember Deming. Daughter Stephanie Keeler and family Chris, Stella, and Audrey Keeler.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Pat & Doris Keleher.
Visitation Wednesday (10/22/2025) 5:00 - 6:30 PM with Vigil Service and Honors by Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard at 6:30 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church Gretna. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Thursday (10/23/2025) at St. Patrick Catholic Church 508 Angus St. Gretna. Followed by a luncheon at St. Patrick's Church in Gretna.
