Beverly Joanne Gorham

Beverly Joanne Gorham, a cherished soul who brought light and love to all who knew her, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2025, in Flat Rock, Michigan, at the age of 90. Born on September 19, 1934, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, Beverly lived a life full of grace, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Beverly dedicated many years of her life working as a bookkeeper, where her meticulous nature and dedication were greatly valued. Beyond her professional life, she was deeply involved with The River Bible Church, where she found joy and purpose in her church family and bible studies. Her faith in Christ was a guiding force throughout her life, inspiring those around her with her devotion and compassion.

In her leisure time, Beverly found happiness in simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, bunco, and card games, sharing laughter and camaraderie with friends and family. Her love for sunsets was profound, a reflection of her appreciation for beauty in everyday moments. Yet, nothing compared to the love she held for her family, who were the center of her world.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Hare; her son, Richard Hare; her grandson, Benjamin, her parents, Frank and Alice Rousse; and her brothers, Frank, Don, Darcey, and Dick. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her three children, Tracey (Nathan) Potratz, Wendy (Lowell) Herbst, and Amy (Perry) Judd; her ten grandchildren, Ashley (James), Joshua (Theresa), Luis (Agie), Kelsey (Chad), Allison (Tim), Lindsey, Jared, Lakyn, Ali, and Kiley; and her six great-grandchildren, Emmie, Adam, Carly, Grace, Pyper, Cecilia, Haylee, and Penelope.

A visitation will be held at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, followed by a service at 6:00 PM. Beverly will be laid to rest during a sunset burial at Michigan Memorial Park, a fitting tribute to her love of sunsets.

Beverly Joanne Gorham's life was a testament to the power of love, faith in Christ, and family. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
