Beverly Jean Hill - Casper
With profound love and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of
Beverly Jean Hill - Casper, who left this world on May 20, 2025. She was 93 years old and her
heart remained as joyful and full of light as ever until the very end.
Beverly was a beacon of positivity - someone who could find the silver lining in any cloud. She
had a rare gift for making people feel truly seen, welcomed, and loved. Whether through a
warm hug, a hearty laugh, or her homemade bread still warm from the oven, she brought
comfort and kindness in the lives of everyone she met.
Beverly was born at home in Goble Oregon, on February 21st 1932, to Marie and Rudy Anliker.
She attended school at Shiloh Basin and Glenwood. In 1946, her family moved to Tumalo.
Beverly graduated from Redmond Union High School in 1950 and later pursued her studies at
The Benky Walker Business School in Portland Oregon. Afterward, she worked at The General
Adjustment Bureau in Bend, but quickly realized that her heart was not in office work. Her true
calling was working in the restaurant business. She owned The Ranch Room and later worked
at The Tumalo Emporium where she enjoyed interacting with people and developed many
cherished relationships which she maintained throughout her life.
Beverly was a member of The Bend Seventh Day Adventist Church, The VFW, The Elks, and
The Athletic Club of Bend, where she enjoyed water Zumba and lunches with the girls.
She was passionate about baking, cooking, tending to her garden and raising cattle, each of
which she knew by name. Her kitchen was always filled with the scent of something delicious
and there was always room at her table.
She was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn, her husbands, Gordon Hill and Dale Casper,
her parents Rudy and Marie Anliker, and her brother Dick. She is survived by her daughters
Nancy and Randi, her beloved sister Betty and her grandsons, Hunter, Ryker, Hayden and
Samuel - who were the apples of her eye and the lights of her life.
Beverly was laid to rest at the Tumalo Pioneer Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held
on August 17 at 1:00 at Aspen Hall in Bend, where we'll gather to share stories, laughter and
love - just as Beverly would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation
to The Opportunity Foundation or Three Sisters Adventist School, two places that were
dear to her heart.
Beverly's life was a testament to what it means to live life fully, to love deeply, and to bring joy to
everyone around you. She was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed.
