Beverly Hunt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Markland-Yager Funeral Home - New Franklin on Mar. 9, 2026.
Beverly Jo Hunt 69 of Franklin passed away at University Hospital March 7, 2026.

Beverly was born Dec 22, 1956, in Boonville to Claud and Helen (Spry) Hunt.

Beverly was a lifelong resident of Franklin. Where she proudly served as Mayor for several years.
She graduated in the class of 1975 from New Franklin High School where she was a multi-sport athlete all four years with her true love being basketball.

She was a member of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Beverly worked at several manufacturing factories in the area, before retiring after 22 years with 3M in Columbia.

Beverly was an avid animal lover. Any stray animals that showed up at her house were sure to be fed and cared for as long as they wanted to stay. She took in many dogs, cats and even a raccoon over the years. She also had a great love for the horses she had growing up. She was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan. In her spare time, she found great joy in traveling around the countryside to try out a new restaurant or find a new casino to try out her luck.

Beverly is survived by her sister Karla Kluck (David) of Boonville. Survivors also include nieces, Tessie Harris, Taylor Kluck and Kaydence Kluck, nephews Kile Kluck and Kameron Roberson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gary and Dennis Hunt and nephew Wesley Hunt.

Per Beverly's request there will be no service. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cooper County.

The family suggests memorials to The Spay Neuter Project, Riley Equine Center or donor's choice.
