Fort Worth, Texas - Beverly Ann Newman Kris, 80, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
Graveside: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Born in Liberty, Miss. into a large dairy family where she gained her love and respect for people and farm animals. She was blessed with a green thumb, whatever she planted grew so beautifully. She loved to show cattle which she won two Grand Champions at the Louisiana State University Stock Show. She loved horseback riding and was an extremely good marksman.
Beverly was a member of the Travis Avenue Baptist Church where she loved the Lord and God's Holy word. Her faith in Jesus Christ carried her through life's challenges. She always saw good in people never bad, for she loved them all.
Beverly retired from University Bank in Fort Worth, where she was a lending officer for 15 years. She loved assisting her customers in helping their business grow. Beverly was devoted to her family which she loved greatly. Our beloved sister, aunt and great-aunt will be deeply missed.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kris; parents, Euel S. and Ella Mae Newman; and brother, Ronald E. Newman.
Survivors: Sister, Barbara Jean Lackey and husband, Leonard; brother, Spencer Newman and wife, Vickie; six nieces she was very proud of, Margaret McDonald, Stephanie Crean, Lynda Manus, Valerie Lackey, Kourtney Redden and Rebekah Poisson; two grandnieces; and six grandnephews.
