Beverly G. Labelle (Grammy), 83, went home peacefully to be with her Savior on Saturday afternoon, May 24, 2025, after a long battle with a variety of health issues. She was born in Chicago, IL on July 21, 1941, the daughter of David Boubelik and Evelyn Tucek (later Evenhuis). She was the third generation of a close-knit family who emigrated from Czechoslovakia to the United States in the early 1900s. Beverly (Bebe) spent her formative years in Illinois, Canada, Florida, and Michigan. She lived in Kalamazoo with her mother and her stepfather Edward (Bupps) Evenhuis, who had a profound influence on her life and journey as a Christian. After graduating from high school, she married her first husband, Vernon Rudolph, a young aspiring Air Force officer (later a Vietnam War Veteran), and together they had three sons.
After completing her bachelor's degree,
she spent most of her adult life as a nurse caring for others. In 1988, she married Arthur Labelle, a former Navy Pilot and Korean War Veteran and they resided together in Florida until his passing in 2012. Beverly spent her final years living in Canterfield of Kennesaw, a retirement community in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. She had a lovely voice and enjoyed singing at any opportunity, especially in her church choir. Her favorite past-times included long excursions to the beach, painting and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be laid to rest near to her mother, stepfather and husband. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, sister-in-law (Joyce Boubelik), aunts and uncles. She is survived by her dear brother, David (Davie) Boubelik of Kalamazoo, MI; former husband Vernon Rudolph (Joyce) of Woodstock, GA; three sons, Benton Rudolph (Carla – ex-wife) of St. Petersburg, FL, Nathan Rudolph (Donna) of Lilburn, GA, and Burton Rudolph (Ashely) of Kinston, NC; cousins Burt and Jean Adam of Kalamazoo, MI; nieces and nephews Bo Boubelik (Robin), Mark Boubelik and Michelle Boubelik (Kevin); grandchildren, Dylan Rudolph, Quinn Rudolph, Gabrielle Rudolph, Conner Rudolph (Neydi), Sophie Rudolph, Scott Rudolph (Danielle),Perry Rudolph (Brooke), and Parker Rudolph (Colleen); and great-grandchild Perry Edward Rudolph. Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
