Beverly F. McDaniel, an energetic lady who exuded strength, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 87. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 2, 1938, Beverly graced the lives of those around her with her unwavering spirit and passionate love for her family and friends.
Beverly's life was characterized by her many interests and hobbies, which she pursued with great enthusiasm. A sharp bridge player, she often gathered with friends for games that showcased her competitive nature. Beverly was also an avid reader, finding joy and adventure between the pages of countless books. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, creating memories each year on family beach trips that will endure through the generations. Beverly was a member of Wynnton Methodist Church where she was immensely involved.
Beverly is survived by her beloved children: daughter Melinda McCune, son Chuck McDaniel (Sally), and daughter Hope Taylor (Jody). She took immense pride in her grandchildren, including Maggie McDaniel, Molly McCune, Chip McDaniel, Ridley Zinner (Jordan) and great granddaughter, McRae Zinner, who will carry on her legacy of love and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. “Jack” McDaniel, her sister Frankie Newman, and her parents Frank R. Fling and Kathleen Fling. Beverly’s memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of her family and friends, who were fortunate enough to know such a remarkable lady. Her vibrant spirit and passionate love for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
A celebration of life service will be held at Wynnton Methodist Church Saturday, January 3, 2025 at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Beverly's memory to: Columbus Hospice House (Moon Rd), Wynnton Methodist Church or PAWS Humane.
