Beverly K. Meginnes, 90, of Towanda passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at The Loft Rehabilitation of Decatur.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bloomington. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington and one hour prior to her funeral at the church on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington.

Beverly was born on February 4, 1935 in Anchor, the daughter of F.G. and Grace Gilmore Bielfeldt. She married Herman J. Meginnes, September 18, 1955 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Anchor. He passed away November 8, 1991.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay L. (Denny) Schneider; grandchildren, Jason Boswell, Ashleigh Meginnes, Alyssa Meginnes, Mary Katelyn Meginnes, Brittany Schultz, Calvin Schultz; three step grandsons, Tyler Schneider, Tanner Schneider, and Coty Schneider; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two great-granddaughters; son, Philip J. Meginnes; and siblings, Camilla Lohmeyer, Carol Boyle, and Ronald Bielfeldt.

Beverly worked at State Farm Insurance Companies for 32 years before retiring in 2000. She was a charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was also a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League since it began in 1960. Beverly served as Bloomington Zone Vice President one year, before becoming President for five years. She collected the Sunday school money for 44 years.

Beverly was a 23-year member of the former Towanda Junior Women's Club. She helped to start the Towanda Senior's Group during her presidency and became a member after retirement. She later became President of the Senior Group, serving for many years. She also worked on the annual parade for the 4th of July.

Beverly will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother as well as an outstanding seamstress. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
