Beverly Ann Patnett (Goff) was born April 27th, 1958, to Kenneth Sr. and Shelmadene Patnett. As the second born of six siblings, and their only daughter, Beverly was preceded in death by first born Kenneth Jr.; and still with us Nelson, Wayne, Desmond and Gregg Patnett. At the age of 15, Beverly emigrated from Belize to Chicago, Illinois. She then attended Academy of Our Lady, on the south side of Chicago, to complete her high school education. In 1978, Beverly would meet her soon to be husband Elsworth Clifton Goff. Beverly and Elsworth welcomed their first born, Elsworth Jason Goff, in November of 1980. Seven years later she would give birth to her daughter, Shaina Marie Goff in March of 1987. She was a very proud, and fiercely protective, mother of her two children.

While balancing her role as wife, mother, and full time corporate professional; Beverly always prioritized her faith and honoring her family. She was a pillar of support for her five brothers, whom she cherished and watched over throughout their lives. She carried on the legacy of being a prayerful woman instilled upon her by her grandmother and mother. Even from afar, she was a devout member of Belmopan Nazarene Church in Belmopan, Belize. In her free time, Beverly was an avid sports fan, especially of home town teams the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls. In that same love for all things sports, she was the number one fan of son, Jason, and his career as a broadcaster. Beverly was a lover of music which was shared by Shaina. She also loved reading and keeping up with current events around the world. Although she never became a U.S. citizen, Beverly always kept her ear to the ground when it came to primary and presidential elections. Since the first Obama campaign, she was actively involved with petitioning and volunteering for the democratic party. She always remained fair and held all parties accountable.

After retiring in 2020, Beverly was able to devote her time to being a wonderfully loving grandmother to her grandson Jace and granddaughter Nova. She put great effort into nurturing and caring for each of them. She always expressed tremendous pride in sharing pictures and telling stories of time spent with Jace & Nova. Beverly's thoughtfulness extended to friends near and far. No matter how brief the interaction, she made sure to make a call, send a text, or even a scripture, to let loved ones know they were on her mind. She would pray not only for her family, but anyone in need and for the world we live in. She was the embodiment of strength and perseverance. Truly a one of one.

Beverly is survived by her loving children; Elsworth Jason Goff (Pia Goff) and Shaina Marie Goff-Greene (Brandon Greene); her two grandchildren, Jace Carter Goff and Nova Chelle Goff; her brothers Nelson, Wayne, Desmond and Gregg Patnett; Nephews and Nieces Sheldon, Diamond, Ian, Kate, Kyle, Vianey, Nyle, Antonio, Sean, Ryan, Eren and Yaren Patnett.

Dear Mom,

We were truly blessed to share this life with you in the physical form and now have THE angel watching over us. You were elegant, substantive, loving, exacting, powerful; and the light in our lives. We hope we can continue to carry your spirit in good times and less than good times. Our anchor has turned into a beacon; and it will forever point us in the right direction. Thank you. We love you.
