Odilon Tellez, querido esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo, falleció el 30 de julio de 2025 en su hogar en Ingleside, Illinois. Nacido el 13 de febrero de 1948 en Cotiro, Michoacán, México, Odilon vivió una trayectoria de notable valentía y determinación. Llegó a Estados Unidos en el año 1973 con el único deseo de construir una vida mejor para él y sus seres queridos. Gracias a su incansable trabajo en construcción y la jardineria, Odilon no solo hizo realidad sus sueños, sino que se convirtió en un pilar fundamental para su familia y una inspiración para muchos.

La devoción de Odilon por su familia fue inquebrantable. Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Guillermina, y sus hijos: Bobby y su esposa Gloria, Mere y su esposa Laura, Hugo y su esposa Alondra, y David y su esposa Marilyn. El legado de Odilon continúa a través de sus nietos: Alex, Azalia, Alyssa, Amaree, Emily, Andrew, Aaron, Allyson y Adelyn, quienes siempre recordarán la bondad y la fortaleza de su abuelo.

Passionate about the simpler pleasures in life, Odilon found joy in playing "La Zorra JiJi," a game of marbles with soda caps, and caring for his beloved animals. His donkeys, cows, chickens, pony Browny, and horse Speedy were not just pets but part of the family, and his commitment to keeping his yard immaculate was a testament to his attention to detail. Odilon's love for music was deep, often resonating with the melodies of Las Jilguerillas, enjoying songs like "Mientras Tengas Corazon," "No Compro Amores" by El Palomo y El Gorrion, and "Mira Guera" by the Prado Brothers.

Known for his humility, hard work, and loving nature, Odilon was a man who made friends easily and maintained them with his genuine warmth. His patron saint, El Señor de la Buena Muerte, was a guiding light in his life, reflecting his own grace and composure in the face of life's challenges.

The visitation will be held on Friday, August 08, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake IL 60073. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, August 09, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 114 N Lincoln Avenue, Round Lake, IL 60073 at 9:30 a.m., Immediately followed by the interment at St. Mary's Cemetery 22277 W Erhart Rd Mundelein, IL 60060.
