Beverly E. Perry Laplante

Beverly E. (Johnston) Perry Laplante, age 75, of Ogdensburg, NY, passed away on April 10, 2023, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Ellis R. Laplante of Dexter, NY; a son, Melvin Perry of Cape Vincent, NY and a daughter, Nancy Measheaw of Ogdensburg, NY; a sister, Donna Bennett of Ogdensburg, NY; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beverly is predeceased by her parents, William and Lucy Johnston; four sisters, Irene Kelley, Betty Chambers, Barbara Fuller, and Margaret Denny and a son-in-law, Adam Measheaw.
Beverly was born on January 24, 1948, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of William L. and Lucy I. (Barber) Johnston. She attended local schools. Beverly married Melvin Bruce Perry on June 4, 1966, at the Salvation Army Citadel. He predeceased her on September 21, 2020. She later married Ellis R. Laplante on January 25, 2023. Beverly was employed by P&C, and at one time owned and operated a video store in Heuvelton, NY. She was also a manager at Family Dollar in Ogdensburg for a few years.
Beverly enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing, and baking.
