Rochester - Passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her husband, Panfilo Romeo Piccini; son, Paul Romeo Piccini.
She is survived by her children Mark (Laurie), Kevin (Sara), Nina Franki (Bill) and grandchildren Marcus, Gina, and Nicole Marino (Joe), Nina, Ryan Alice Ryan (Matt), Sara Tone (Matt) and Morgan Freeman (David), plus six great grandchildren.
Beverly was born and raised in the central NY community of Minoa. Shortly after graduating from High School (where she was a cheerleader), Beverly met her future husband, Panfilo, through her parents. They had met "Pan" while traveling in Florida and through a series of coincidences having everyone together in Brooklyn NY, the introduction was made. Bev and Pan were married a few years later in 1951. They settled in Rochester NY where they would live for the rest of their lives.
While her husband was launching his career as a hair stylist, Beverly worked in retail. She had a quick smile, a wonderful "people pleasing" personality, and very much enjoyed working with the public. Her career eventually took a bit of turn and she accepted a position at Viacom working at Rochester General Hospital. She moved from room to room in the hospital helping patients get TV service!
Later in life Bev was involved with other parents in Bishop Kearney HS theater doing makeup and hair. She would also travel supporting daughter Nina's passion for Color Guard with the Bishop Kearney Marching Band.
She met other likeminded people throughout her life - acquaintances that became lifelong friendships with those folks and their spouses. This tightly-knit group spent a considerable amount of time together and that would often be at Bev and Pan's house - she loved to host and entertain! The group got together frequently and she especially enjoyed having parties for the Holidays.
She and Pan both were very active and continued to work into their 70's. They eventually retired in the early 2000's and enjoyed visiting with friends, keeping in touch with family, shopping, and generally spending their time together as a lovely senior couple.
Beverly was in good spirits until shortly before her passing. She was a charming and radiant woman that will be missed by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends 10:30 am - 12:30 pm Saturday, February 25, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. (corner of Culver Rd.) Private Interment at Riverside Cemetery.
