Beverly June Raab

Beverly J. Raab (Nee Olsen) passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. Beverly was born in Milwaukee on March 10, 1930 to Genevieve and William Olsen. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Donald and Russell.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Paul V. Raab. Beverly is the treasured mother to Paul Jr. (Pamela) Raab, Mark (Roberto) Raab, Dale (Paula) Raab, Lisa (Christopher) Kujawa, and Steven Raab. Her grandchildren Erik, Annie, Alexander (Hannah), Bryan (Chelsea), Calvin, Jacob (Allison), Sarah, Zachary and Gabrielle were Beverly's pride and joy. Payton Nola, Beverly's great- grandchild brought excitement and smiles during each visit. Beverly is also survived by many nieces, nephews, sisters in law, and friends.
Beverly graduated from Custer High School in 1948 and was a member of the Milwaukee Acapella Choir. Beverly loved to roller skate, bowl, play tennis, and dance at the Eagle's Club. Beverly worked as a telephone operator, a receptionist for an offset printing company, and a certified nursing assistant at St. Luke's Hospital. Beverly's favorite job was working as a "lunchroom lady" for Milwaukee Public Schools. She served lunch for students at Bell Middle School until the age of 70 when she finally retired. Beverly often spoke proudly of the homemade buns and quality food prepared in the public school lunchroom.
Beverly was an incredible cook and baker. She had famous recipes and anyone that tasted Beverly's cooking raved about her exquisite talent. Beverly loved to play bridge and had a lifelong friendship with her bridge club ladies. Beverly loved to entertain and her dining room table was often filled with friends and family at each holiday.
Family was most important to Beverly. She has a sign in her house stating "Family, forever, for always, and no matter what!" and often referred to that as her motto. Beverly and Paul took their children and grandchildren on many vacations to Manasquan Beach, Outer Banks, and a Disney Cruise. The entire family would be together and Beverly and Paul were adamant that the family do the work to stay connected.
Despite health issues, Beverly never complained. She always put others before her and was the first one there to lend a helping hand. She was a den mother when her sons were in Boy Scouts, and attended every sporting event her children and grandchildren participated in. Sunday morning pancakes were famous among her grandchildren and their friends. Beverly served pancakes every Sunday so her family could gather regularly.
Beverly's passing leaves a hole in our hearts and her presence is missed dearly. She left a legacy that few have been able to achieve.
