Judy Kay Brooke, March 14, 1956 – January 17, 2026, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
Judy enjoyed traveling from a young adult age, living in Michigan, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Illinois before settling back in Milwaukee. Through her adventurous spirit, Judy found a passion for planning events, both professionally and personally. She put together many memorable occasions, always ensuring every detail was infused with her signature warmth, charm, and laughter.
Alongside her event planning, Judy was a wonderful chef, known for her array of appetizers and meals that kept you full, happy, and well-seasoned. Judy was an avid reader of novels and cookbooks and also enjoyed crossword puzzles and competitive games of Scrabble.
Aside from filling people's bellies, she loved to make them laugh. Whether it was her early visits to Milwaukee with her "Tickle Bug" to see her nieces and nephews, or creating events to celebrate friends and family, she brought smiles to everyone.
Judy and Dale spent more than 30 years together. They enjoyed many long weekends at "The Chalet" at Riverbend, making memories with friends and family.
Judy lived her beliefs through her actions, always extending a hand to those in need and encouraging others to find the silver lining, even in the most challenging circumstances.
Judy is survived by her lifelong partner, Dale Herman (Joe and Lauren); her sister, Toni (née Brooke) Dunn; her nieces and nephews, Monica Hinek (Kent, Nathan, and Naomi), Lisa Hinek (Chad and Brooke), Andrew Dunn (Alex and Hattie), and Kelly Dunn (Alex); along with many other family members and friends from Miller Brewing Co., the Luck, WI area, and beyond.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Brooke; her mother, Martha (Jensen, Brooke) Nowak (Raymond); and her sister, Linda (Brooke) Hinek (Robert).
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a Memorial Service to follow at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 7626 W. Greenfield Avenue,
