Beverly Rettig

Beverly J. Rettig, age 88 of Eden Valley, MN passed away peacefully on Monday February 5, 2024 at the Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. A memorial service will be held at Johnson Hagglund Funeral Home on February 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be held at Assumption Cemetery in Eden Valley.

 

Beverly JoAnn Arens was born on February 17, 1935 to John (Ben) and Cecile (Pancake) Arens in North Kingston. Beverly graduated from Kimball High School in 1953.  Beverly was united in marriage to Virgil Rettig at St. Anthony Church in Watkins on June 26, 1954. Beverly worked at Fingerhut in Litchfield until it closed.  She then went on to work driving school bus of Eden Valley and working in the school kitchen. Beverly had made many hand sewn quilts for each family member.  She had enjoyed camping, fishing and word searches, making quilts for her family and watching soap operas. 

 

Beverly is survived by her children Kathy Mausehund, Diane (Wally) Eisenschenk, Sherry (Paul) Thompson, Jim (Roxanne) Rettig and David (Jody) Rettig; grandchildren Kyle Krueger (Melinda Jacobson), Kevin Krueger, Wes (Michelle) Eisenschenk, Keith (Pane) Eisenschenk, Mary (Adam) Bongard, Scott (Bonnie) Barton, Steven (Alex) Barton and Tyler Rettig; grand-son-in-law Brian Wall; great grandchildren Mylie, Gemma and Taya Wall, Elliott, Bailee and Maizie Eisenschenk, Madison, Zachary, Nicholas and Zoey Barton and Hazel Krueger; step-grandchildren Steven Renn, Lyla Renn, Cassandra Wientjes and Kelly (Nicole) Davis; step—great-grandchildren Brylee Martin, Ryder, Reese, Madison, Donna Davis and Katelyn Friedsman.

 

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Virgil; parents; granddaughter Kristina Wall; son–in-law Dale Mausehund; siblings John, LuVern and Leslie Arnes and sister Karen Nelson.
