Beverly I. Sass

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Beverly Irma Sass (nee: Trapp), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who went to her Heavenly home on March 4, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on July 16, 1929, Beverly was a beacon of strength and resilience, navigating the joys and sorrows of life with grace and unwavering love.

Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Earnest Sass, her cherished son, David Paul Sass, and her precious grandchild, Patrick Gregory McDonald. Despite the profound losses she endured, Beverly remained a pillar of support for her family, nurturing her ten children with boundless love and wisdom. Her legacy continues through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry forward her spirit and values.

Throughout her life, Beverly was known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith. She had a remarkable ability to bring people together, often hosting family gatherings filled with laughter, love, and her famous German potato salad. Her home was a sanctuary for all who knew her, a place where stories were shared and memories were made.

Beverly will be remembered not only for her role as a devoted family member but also for her contributions to the community. She was actively involved in school activities and scouting, where she touched the lives of many with her generosity and spirit. Beverly had a passion for gardening and crafting, but her greatest joy came from sewing for her family and friends.

As we celebrate her life, we find comfort in the countless memories we shared and the love she instilled in each of us. Beverly leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family unity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Beverly is survived by her children: Linda Mehlenbacher (Russell), Karen Brookshire (Donald), Diane McDonald (Gregory), Ellen Schaefer (Michael), Jeffrey Sass, Thomas Sass, Julie Oberg (Timothy), Carolyn Wiechowski (Jeffrey), and Jennifer Sass, along with her 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 4-8pm at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 43300 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township, 48038. Funeral will be Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 Instate at 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am. Beverly will be laid to rest immedietely following the service at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery.
