Beverly Yvonne Shelton

Beverly Y. Shelton, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Council Bluffs, IA on November 12, 2025.

She was born February 1, 1947, to the late Clifford and Aleda (Roggow) Stief in Aurelia, IA. Beverly graduated from Storm Lake High School and also attended business school in Sioux City, IA. She was a long-time day-care provider having provided day care services in her home in Spencer, IA for 27 years. She also worked at Casey's General Store and the Walmart Eye Care Center in Spencer, IA, eventually retiring from Plaza 1 Motel in 2018.

Beverly enjoyed working with children, teaching Sunday school, and confirmation classes at First English Lutheran Church in Spencer, IA. She also enjoyed animals, especially dogs, and anything and everything about Elvis Presley.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 58 years, George "Bob" Shelton; sons, Dana Shelton, Corey Shelton (Lisa); brothers, Bernard Stief and Wendell Stief (Jackie); grandson, Andrew Shelton; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM at HoyKilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
